Core: In computer sciences we learned about a programing website known as Scratch. On scratch you can make your own games by programming different animations. It was interesting to see how you can program your own games using simple controls. We also got to see some of the projects that other people made.

Wkshop1: In Sustainability and Engineering we learned how engineering can affect the world in bigger ways than most people might believe. Places such as Disney world use engineering for almost everything. Engineers do almost everything you can imagine. They have to put a lot of things into mind when they design projects. In places such as Disney World, engineers have to think about the amount of people that come each day and how many people a certain ride can hold at one time. They have to think about how much  each material will cost and how much they will need of that certain material. They have to estimate the costs and the risks. They have to test out every single idea and retry over and over again to get it right. Although engineers are often misjudged, they have very important jobs.

Wkshop2: In pop up LED cards we learned about how circuits run. We connected up wires to light a small bulb. we also learned the types of circuits. The closed circuits are circuits that are complete and the electricity can run through them. An open circuit is a circuit that isn't put together completely and the electricity can run through. We also learned about electrons, protons, and neutrons. We learned that the wires must be connected to the battery in the correct spot so that the electrons can run through. We learned about the positive and negative charges and how if the positive section of the battery is not connected to the positive section of the LED the LED will not light up because the electrons can not transfer the electricity properly.
